Duneane pupils were 'bowled over' at Old Bleach Bowling Club!

24th May 2023

Our P4 to P7 were invited by Old Bleach Bowling Club to take part in fun bowls! Children were able to use throwing skills to throw at a target with direction and accuracy. Children took part in fun bowls activities where they had to throw at a wedge for points, throw to a dartboard to get points and throw for 10s or 5s. At the end the boys played the girls in bowls battleships! A massive thank you to Old Bleach Bowling club for inviting us over to play and the treats for Break! Also a big thank you to Damien McElroy and Philip Scott for their expert coaching. As a fellow bowler I was impressed with the activities and the natural potential our children have. We have some budding bowlers for the future! If any parent is interested in the youth bowls at Old Bleach they have a regional Academy called 'Lough Neagh Sharks'. I can pass on your details to them if you're interested. Another fun day was had by all!
