Duneane Primary School

School Council

Our school council is a group of children from P3-P7 elected by their fellow pupils to represent their opinions and raise issues with Mrs Matthews and other adults within our school.

The Pupil Council can also take forward projects on behalf of the pupils and represent pupil involvement in all aspects of school life.

We meet regularly and actively work together to try to improve things for our children in Duneane Primary School.

This year, the children have chosen Assistance Dogs NI as our charity.  Our children will be holding various events across the school year to raise funds for this wonderful charity.  We have already raised over £300 with the Harvest Coffee morning, which was a huge amount! Once a month we have our 'Ice-cream Fridays' when the pupils bring in £1 to enjoy a tasty ice-cream cone and in December there will be the 'Santa Run' Daily Mile when our pupils can wear their Christmas jumper and bring in a £1 donation.

Our School Council members are soon to be visiting Stormont along with their friends from Moneynick PS.  We are sure they will find out lots about how the MLAs do their job!
