Eco Week

25th Mar 2022

During the 21st - 25th March we had a successful week celebrating all things Eco in the lovely sunshine. Activities included storytime when endangered animals around the world were discussed and lots of opportunities throughout the week to tidy-up our school grounds. P4-P6 enjoyed participating in an online collaboration session with the children in Moneynick, with the focus being on pollinators. During this session, each group was provided a topic to research as part of their planning for a presentation which they will work on in their groups at a future date.  The whole school enjoyed a visit from Jo at RSPB who helped us explore habitats and complete a Minibeast Survey. We also had a visit from Wee Critters. The children and staff loved meeting Angelo the Angolan Python, Trevor the Cane Toad, Arthur the Three Banded Armadillo and Dobby the White-Faced Owl.
